So as some ppl know i sold my automatic civic..haha..and im lookin at either getting a 1997 hatchback for only 2200....or a 1994 hatchback for atleast 4000 or more.....the eg has rims andsome other goodies, but the ek is stock....they are both 5 speeds thank god...lol...i have got around 6000..but my question is should i buy the cheaper ek and start my own project or buy the eg and finish some1 elses work........

I would start with the stock ek UNLESS the work done on the eg was done right, which never happens. I personally like the looks of the eg better but if it was modded poorly by the previous owner you can't always turn back (easily).

Are they DX's or EX's???

So, if both are the same model (dx, ex) than I would say ek.

i would vote EK...more money to play with..and that way, you dont have to hunt down OEM parts if the EG had replaced/messed up interior or exterior panels...or molded lips/body kits...etc.

then there is the whole thing that dan was talking about...if the dood with the eg didnt know what he was doing, or the people he had working on it didnt...then that car could crap on you later and leave you with NO money to play with...pending on what goes wrong....

OR...buy the eg and let me have the EK lol

They never made an EX hatch, for the EK it would be a DX, or CX and for the EG it could be an Si, CX, DX or VX.
