Just out of curiosity, how would a civic b18c with basic bolt ons and mild tuning hold up against a wrx? I know it's an awd turbo so of course it has the advantage but I'd still like to know haha. Anyone have any experience on this?

 

This is probably bench racing, which is frowned upon I believe.

The WRX would win. By how much depends on the drivers.

 

ahh my bad i didnt know. i was just curious cause a friend of mine is getting a wrx and he's always ranting about em and how they're sooo much better. i wana get a perspective before we actually line em up haha

 

The WRX is faster, it's not even a contest. You're talking about a difference that amounts to almost (over, if we're talking a newer WRX) 100ft-lbs of torque, stock vs. stock. A stock WRX will still be able to take a bolt-on GSR swapped civic.

Also, bench racing is pointless and street racing is just stupid.

Yup, from a dig or even a roll, the WRX will be quicker. If the person does any mod to the WRX, it will definitely be over for the Civic lol.

 

yeah true ... id be up against a stock '02 wrx with 227 hp. i know its faster but i figured id be able to atleast keep up (if started from a roll) with it since AWD cars lose about 18-25% hp to the wheels and its heavier? ehh .. oh well maybe im just being too hopeful haha

although we already know what will happen, i'll keep y'all posted lol
