Hey
New to this site
Hoping to buy a civic but, wondered if there was much difference between the
Honda civic hatchback 91-96 and the
Honda civic hatchback 95-01
in terms of drive and perormance and womdered what your opinions were on them

I own a 98 dx hatch and a 95 cx hatch. IMO the 95 corners MUCH better than the 98. Its also OBD1 in that generation, so a swap engine won't cost as much as one for 96+ civics.

The sound system in the older car isn't as good because there aren't any rear speakers and there isn't as much sound insulation so the road is LOUD.

The rear hatch is different on the two cars, the 95 splits and the glass opens up and the tailgate opens down, the 98 is all one piece and opens up.

if you aren't messing with the engine, find a 92-95 VX model, they get great gas milage

Thanks for that mate, I am certainly swaying for the 5th gen now after the feedback I have had, seems to be lighter and have stronger roadhandling!
