January 1st I was run off the road and into a light pole.

Unfortunately the guy who caused it took off and I don't have collision and had to pay out of pocket for the repairs. Probably for the better, they may have totalled it.






But the great news is the car is nearly completed. The new roof was reinstalled in 6hrs flat. I stopped by tonight and they were masking off for paint. Almost the enitre car is getting repainted. So I asked them to spray the rear bumper too because the clear coat is peeling on it. Otherwise the paint on the rest of the car is fine. The car is going to look like new on the outside. Once I finish the engine bay it will look like I restored it.

 

its tottaled when the airbag deploys, right?

 

A car is totalled when the total cost of repairs exceeds the total value of the car.

I was fortunate that though the airbags deployed I received absolutely no frame damage.

 

^i knew that. but it was just the airbag that got me. i thought they tottal it when it deploys regardless. (dont know what im thinking today.)

but thats great thet its all getting fixed. make sure you take pics to help us forget the ones that you showed us in this thread

 

wow that sucks, a guy runs you off the road then you have to pay for it all...wow thats crazy, good to hear its almost done tho, its gunna look good with the new paint..keep us updated with the after pics
