I am in the same position you are in the sense of getting my 1st civic and the confusion between a SI or an EX...Im personally going to go with the EX because they are easier to find and adding the turbo will boost you a lot more and in the long run if you do the installation yourself it would cheaper that buying the SI and adding a Turbo...

IMO, the Si is the kind of car that should be left stock. It's a factory performance car that will be a collectable in the near future...if it isnt already!

did i see that you were looking in the 3grand price range? good luck finding a 99-00 for three grand, especially and ex or si. a good thing for honda owner and bad for honda buyers is honda hold there resale value very well. my 95 dx kelly blue books at $3400 in stock trim i know i wouldnt get that with the car market but since the motor is rebuilt and the car is clean, i.e no rust or dents. i wouldnt sell under 2800. and thats a 95 dx. good luck and keep your eyes peeled every once in a while the steal of a liftime comes around. i got a buddy who bought a 98 2 door coupeex from a old guy down the street 700 buck only like 70k on the motor, body had honda rust but damn
