The shifter on the dash of the ep's is imo more comfortable then one on the floor/integrated into the console. It's in perfect arms length, and its not right to cut on one until you've driven it because I bet you'd like its placing as well after a test drive

i had a 2002 si i loved the dash mounted shifter. and ive driven a 2007 si i hated the shifter

nope i have never driven one but the way it looks just bugs me and i perfer the one tahts not in teh dash bc i m 5 11 with long arms like they got below my knees so yea i dont think id like it ... haha but i wouldnt race one ... my ex woudl get smoked. ... just like i got smoked by a B16 turbo hb ... ( was not aware... that it was b16 or turbo until i laughed at him bc i was smoking his *** ... then alll i heard was pshhhhhhhhp n watched him fly )

haha but yeah i drove my friends 05 si and love where the shifter is. If you're really driving hard, its closer to the wheel so you can get back on the wheel with both hands after shifting faster.

I'm always in disagreement with Ben, but this time I agree 100%. I have 92 Si and 03 SI, and I can compare the shifters on a daily basis. It takes a few days to get used to it, but you feel uncomfortable coming back to floor shifter after this...

whoa... i posted a post and it never came up lol... but i made a comment about hte 5 12 thing too hahha ... and i dont know i might just have to go and test it out but i mean i just dont htink i would like it ... hte look just bugs me but i might change my mind after i drive it we will see one day lol... but i guess imma just take your words for it for now... anyone find a huge difference in a short shifter in an ek civic ... then the stock normal one ... ? im jw bc i thinking about doing it but if there is just a slight diff i dont wnat to do it.. bc now i shift pretty quickly just bc im used to it ... any opinions?
