Right from the driveway! My girlfriends 05 civic was stolen right out of our driveway, and they ran sacked my 97 civic, attempted to steal my new deck but failed. It's probably painted yellow and in mexico by now..

 

oh man sucks to hear that happened. go file a police report, and catch those mother truckers

how the hell did the steal it...??? the 05 civic has the chip in the key... did you leave them the key?

 

nope we gathered all the keys afterward, i have no idea. The report was filed and still havnt heard anything going on the 4th day, driving around a mazda6 rental.

 

Sorry to hear man. Had the same thing happen to my V8 90hatch. They found it, guy wrapped it around a tree. =/

 

what model was the 05 civic a dx? any pics?

 

unfortunately no pics,she wasnt into showing it off on her myspace or anything, the only pic is on google earth of it in the driveway lol. It was an lx, 2 door, silver. This chip key thing is new to me i hadnt heard of it before, how the hell did they drive off in it then? did they bust the column and use a screwdriver?

 

The chip is easily overridden. And the column can be busted from the bottom, and the piece behind the ignition can be taken out, and turned by hand to the right, and car turned on.
I'm not even going to hint how to override the chip. Don't need more people jackin Hondas.

 

any car can be stolen, chips or not. if they want it, their gonna get it.
