Civic vs. CRX and other questions.
Greetings all. Jason; 1st post.
I hope I have the right forum area, but if not, please move me. Anyhow, here goes.
Looking to pick up a Honda as a project car and since it will be done over some time money isn't really an issue at this point. Can any of you tell me the pros and cons of a Civic over a CRX and vice versa? I'm leaning toward a CRX, a '91 to be exact, but any comments can help. Here's what I'm looking to do overall. Looking to do a drifting car, so looking for high acceleration over top speed. Also, of course, looking for very quick handling.
The cons that are holding me back from a CRX is the looser chassis over a Civic... Oh, and to be honest, at this point I do not know if either are RWD or FWD... Forgive me.

EF Civics and CRXs use the same chassis... and they're pretty damn tight from the factory, especially since they ride so low.
And no, as a rule of technicality, FWD cars can't drift. It's physically impossible.
