a guy wants to race me for 5grand and i have a 01 civic non-turbo with k&n air intake and exhaust i think it has 110hp in the engine stock he has an 86 rx7 non-turbo with cold air intake and exhaust. who do you think will win?

wow so you're going to race wiht cheap cars for 5k? heck if you know you're going to get 5k, drop 4k into your civic kick his *** and collect the extra 1k.

That would be simple enough, I don't know about the rx7, but that is alot of money for just an intake and exhaust mod. Just do something that is reasonable to beef up you engine, and then light him. I would not race him as-is.

 

First of all I doubt he has the money, his car probably cost less then 5 grand so if he really had the money to blow on one race then why isnt he driving around a nicer car. Even the corvette and viper drivers up here only drop a grand or less on a race. Second a NA rx7 of that generation runs around a 16.50-17.50 quarter. If you think you can beat him go for it. Your weight will probably be your best bet. any weight you can lose would be wise, like the spare tire and jack, rear seat, etc lose it. Thats just my opinion though.
