Clamp on Exhaust Tip for 97 Civic HX 2dr
an exhaust tip? just the tip? you could invest that cash in a catback set up, or atleast start saving for one. if you just want a tip autozone sells the ones that are garunteed not to show rust for 5 years for like 25
dude a muffler tip cost any where from 5.99-25 dollars. i bought my muffler tip for 12.99 at Advance Auto Part and seen them at Pep Boys for the same price. muffler tips arnt tht expensive and they look much better than the stock muffler. so if u dont plan on buying an catback system anytimesooni would just go with the tip for now. any by anytime soon i mean in the next 6 month to a year.
Does the exaust tip make any difference in sound? My brother just got his first car today....it is a '97Acura Integra RS. It came with an exhaust tip and he is letting me have it. : )
no sound difference but looks awhole lot beter!!!
just dont buy that single layer tip... those rust out SUPER FAST!!!!!! only takes about a year and its rusted thru and looks like crap!!!!!
autozone ones SUCK ROYALY.... go to pepboys! alittle more moeny BUT thier tips last ALOT LONGER!!!!!!! im going on a year now with my tip and it looks perfect still.... only thing showing is alitle black stuff on the inside of the t ip and thats just from exaust fumes and still cleans right up with some good hand cleaners
well worth it in my opinion!!!!!
if i ever get a cat back setup i want the RSX system... well i think thats what its called.... very nice sound and mellow not the typical loud @ss muffler which i hate so much!!! i was gonna keep stock system cause mines almost new and i like it to be preaty silent!!!!

thats not entirely true about the tips looking better. as long as it stays in its place and does not bouce up and down and drag the pipe closer to the ground then go for it. but if it one of those heavy *** p.o.s. then screw it i hate seeing a car drive down the road and the tip is leaning like a cholo!!!! side to side!!!! jk

ya thats the system i want but OUCH for the price tag....
and well a tip is only as good as the person instaling it.LMFAO
tips arent heavy.... its stupid people not tightening the screws firmly enough or to tight and they strip the threads so it wont hold either.LOL
dont use a screw driver.... i think mine used bolts. but if yours is a screw driver head then get a socket wrench with a screw driver bit.. then tighten it down with one of those while making sure ya keep down presure on the wrench to keep from striping out the head. and also tighten all the screws down equaly.... if ya tighten one down and then go to the next the tips all offset and the bolts wont hold evenly..
and what ever ya do DONT MEXICAN IT!!!!!!!! with the exaust tip back on the pipe but the stock pipe is sticking out further than the tip.LMFAO
