Question Cluster LEDs

So im gonna replace my old bulbs from my cluster with some bright LEDs.
and i checked out a DIY thread and thats where i got the website superbrightleds.com from.... and so now that im gonna order them it gives me 2 options on LEDs. one of them is
High Power SMD T1.5-xHP and the other is Standard 5mm T1.5-x

So what im asking is... They are both the same size right? its just that one is brighter than the other? so it would look better with the high power ones right? I just wanna make sure before i get em lol

thanks!

can you post the link to the bulbs your talking about? for the best light output you want to go with the ones that gives a wide angle of light. i'm at school now so i'll take a look at those bulbs when i get home later to see which is better

Well the brighter ones cost more, I dont know if that is an issue for you or not. But I didnt get them because I didnt want to find out that they wont work or something after I ordered mine. I got bright white led's and believe me you will notice the difference no matter what you get.

The HP ones are better. They have a smaller tip, so you don't have to worry as much about clearance (which IDK about you but in my cluster one of the bulb holes doesn't have very much depth so you have to have a pretty short bulb). Also, they have a slightly wider beam angle, so you'll have slightly more even glow.

Oh, and the shorter the bulb, the farther back the light will be from the face of the gauge, meaning it has more space for the light to spread out before projecting through the gauge face, resulting in less hot spots.

Hey Lewy2k so the normal ones are bright enough?
because i would think that red ones would be a little more dim than white no?
eh... i might just end up gettin the high power. i just hope they fit lol.

They are LED bulbs. Anything you get will be brighter although I didn't know you wanted red. They should work I'm just not familiar with them.
