In big rigs, they don't have synchros, so they have to double clutch, but if you shift at just the right rpm (match the revs) it will go in. my dad is a trucker, and he taught me how to do this.

The clutch is second nature to me...whenever i get into my sisters auto i try to hit the clutch and shift gears, and its a column shifter!
I feel you on that. It's no fun when you do this on the freeway in your mom's Infinity Q45 and hit the parking break. Boy did I feel stupid.

i wouldnt do it alot bcuz one day you might **** it up when ur tryin too hard to do it. ive done it occasionally 3rd to 4th but i wouldnt recommend it. like pete said the clutch is there for a reason.

concensus: don't do it. especially if your not knowledgable about it or driving.

i agree with most people use the clutch, but its not a bad idea to try it once or twice, incase ur clutch goes out on you one day and you need to get home/ a garage

If you have a motorcycle, you can do it at any RPM due to the sequential transmission. However, your civic does not use a sequential transmission so I would stay away from it.
