Default comprression test

ok i checked my compression in my 95 ex with a d16z6. all pistons were at 140 equally. i'm asuming its 140psi? is that the right spot its suppose to be for being a stock z6? only mods i got is header, HF cat, and exhaust system. runnin 2 1/4 piping by the way...

i dont think your header, cat, exhaust or anything you mentioned matters when it comes to your engine compresion. since all the compression does is check how much pressure the cylinders can hold.
but i might be wrong.
and sorry im not sure what the compression is supposed to be for that engine.

Your cylinder compressions seem fine. Why did you test it?

i wanted to see how each piston was on pressure. just to make sure my z6 is healthy... lol. i found out the psi should be around 185... and 140psi? seems too low... any ideas y?

do you have valve tick?
you might need to adjust your valve lash

The even compression across all four cylinders says the engine is healthy. The absolute numbers you get depend on whether the test was done correctly.

Again, compression is fine. Adjust the valve clearance to see whether the clicking goes away.
