What is the cover plate next to the power accessory outlet on 2001 Honda Civic? Owners manual says nothing. Thinking about modifying it into maybe a USB port that would connect phone to stereo. Anybody tried this? Thanks for your help.

 

blank spaces for accessories that only came on higher trim levels they just pop rite off.

 

How do we find a list of those accessories?

I would like to install a USB charging port for Android phones but the dealer was no help.
I bought one on the internet that said it was for Honda but it doesn't fit very well.
Maybe it was for a Honda Won't(Fit).

How to remove the power port from the panel?
I got one at a wrecking yard but can't seem to pop the port out of the panel.
