so i got certified for the machine shop at my university today and im thinking i wanna make a custom shift ****

what do you think about the old school floor shifter style ****? ive never seen one on a civic so i wanna try it, since the machinist said there was scraps big enough to make one so it would be free

and i'm thinking im gonna make an FITV block off plate sometime too

but the top would be hard to get round like that i believe

 

To round the top just throw it on a lathe and use a file to make the curve, its super easy. Making a shift **** would be super easy on a lathe and you could make some pretty cool details. I might be making one this year in school since I do whatever I want.

 

You could make a killing making turbo adapter flanges


I think a truck style shift **** would look kinda dumb and wouldn't be very comfortable for quick shifts

 

make the mugen one but instead of rounding the top just make a flat top then add a little 45% angle all around, it would look killer
