D16 project help

Default D16 project help

hey i have a 95 civic dx and to my knowledge its the slowest? iwant more power/torque iv heard of doing a b18a or b18b? swap im not sure pretty new to this but i know thats pricey im lookin to do things ican do in a day cam swaps? possibly im not sure, i do have an s20 tranny the si one i just need an input shaft bearing and a gear housing and im good,would the housing in my current tranny fit on it? any help id greatly appricate, i wanna make this car scream or do you guys think just getting an integra would be better? so yeah 1 day project suggestions would be great, thanks in advance for anyones input

DX? There is slower in the 92-95 Civics. The CX hatch back came with 70hp, VX was like 92hp, then the DX at around 106hp or something like that.

Do some research. B18a and b18b are pretty much identical motors. The A is an older motor. Stick with the b18b. D series transmission parts will not work on B series engines.

I would say an Integra is better, but I am biased. See signature.

We should turn this into a "Oh, how I love Tegs" thread and just fill it with pics. Lulz.

I also have a swapped Civic. If the Teg and Civic raced, the Civic would win by car lengths. So my Civic is my fun car for now. The Teg is just a clean-ish DD (once it gets through inspection, PA sucks)

Let us know what you end up doing!

The photo stuff on this site sucks. Plus, no one wants to go searching around just to give an opinion on a picture. Upload to photobucket and paste the IMG code into a post and the picture will be right there.
