did the 92 honda civic dx hatchback come with a d16y7 motor stock?

 

No, it had a D15B7. The D16Y7 was the non-VTEC stock in 96-00 DX's, but it can easily swap into a 92-95. It may be slightly more powerful (100 more cc) but they're both basically the low horsepower daily driver version.

 

ok some1 must of made a swap. but they did a bad job. the car leaks oil from every where and and the tranny too.
