Dc Sport exust
hey all i just bought a dc sports muffler from (and i know it might be bad) pep boys. it has a 2.25" inlet 3.25" outlet tank length of 11.5" tip length of 2" with a total length of 16.25"ill add a pic so you know what your looking at and before i spend the money to get my pipes made and have it added i just put it over my current exhaust to see what it would sound like and i was disappointed in the fact that it really wasn't much louder if not quieter then my stock set. What i wanted to know is if when it is put on and everything will it sound better or is that pretty much the sound I'm stuck with. (just to let you guys know it was only $60 for the muffler and it will cost about $89 to have it installed) The Picture of the pipe can be seen here

As you put it in series with the stock muffler, of course the combination will be quieter than either one alone.
As your only muffler, those things sound loud, but awful. It's like a bee in a can or someone farting.

Yes, the exhaust will sound loud, raspy, and I am sure after a few months you will get sick of it. Additionally, it will not make your car any faster than it was before.
Please tell me you do not have an automatic transmission.

Good to hear it is manual. I cannot stand seeing AT cars with fart cannons on them.
You have two mufflers? Pics please. You should have an exhaust manifold (bolted to the motor), followed by a cat converter, down pipe, b pipe (which has a resonator built in), then an axle back, which is connected to the muffler.
I am not the best with 01-05's, so I could possibly be wrong.
