Depressing.
So tonight I was driving along and start to notice everything is getting dimmer, and I notice my battery light is on, ah **** here goes the alternater. Well I head for home hoping I might be able to make it, well i didnt even make it out of town instead everything went out right across the street of the local towing company. So I walk across the street after checking out my car to confirm that the alternater is seized.... it was. So I go bang on the door of the towing company and ended up getting it brought home on a flatbed. How ****ing depressing it was to see it up there on a flatbed. Anywaise tomorrow I get to try to track down and install a new alternater.

RE: Depressing.
Imagine watching your totalled car getting pulled up on a flatbed and as they're puting it on, the exhaust rips off on the asphault, and they just pick it up and toss it through the broken windows.
Stupid fat tow truck guy.

k yeah that would be a hell of alot worst. So this morning I went out to pull the alternater and guess what I found I just broke the bolt that you tighten to hold it from loosening, it had worked itself loose yesterday so the belt was accelerating faster then the alt pulley. So I pulled the stud out and tack welded a new one in place there. And guess what she lives again.

RE: Depressing.
I had $3000 dollars thrown into my car and than after waiting all that time, My alternator seized right after i had all my money gone.
I had to wait through 4 months of winter to even get a new alternator installed. At least it was easily solved, my alternator was a little more tricky, but i'm glad it's on the road again.
