Is this normal?

 

I don't think ANY good motor should burn a quart a month....

 

lol i go thru that lol... about once a month i have to put oil in my car, usually around 2 1/2 quarts.

 

Yeah, no engine should go through a quart of oil a month... even rotaries don't go through oil that fast, and they're designed to consume oil during normal operation.

ur piston rings might be bad causing the oil to burn up in the combustion chamber.. thats what someone told me my prob was.. i used this stop leak oil **** and it works pretty good.

 

The OP never said how far he or she drives in a month. More than one quart every 1000 miles is considered excessive, and is likely enough to make visible smoke from the tailpipe.

The VTEC doesn't make it use more than a non-VTEC would.

 

thats true, the more u use ur engine, the more it will use..
