Default Doh! (Yes, In the words of Homer Simpson)

So my bf and I just got my long awaited Megan Racing catback exhaust installed along with my Magnaflow direct bolt catalytic converter. Only problem is, When I ordered my o2 sensor extender from PasswordJDM I thought I was only going to need one just for the downstream o2 sensor. After puting everything together I have now come to the realization that I need another extender for the upstream o2 sensor. Thus extending the time that my car will continue to be out of commission. So far we're at 1 month 10 days and counting.

Go figure.

you've gotta do it right, i don't know how you did it, but you can't just strip it and wrap some tape around it, you gotta solder it and put some heat shrink on it.

Plug in the upstream sensor, that one controls your fuel mixture. The CEL will come on complaining about the downstream one but it's perfectly OK to drive like that, unless you need to pass a smog test. The downstream one is just used as a monitor to prove the catalytic converter is actually working.

^ That's exactly what my bf's neighbor who is a mechanic said. I just really don't want to drive around with a CEL. It will eat away at my concience. I bit the bullett and ordered another extender.
I just wish I could start my car just to hear how amazing its going to sound. All I know is once I hear my car for the first time with my new exhaust, If I was a guy, I would totally have a happy.
=====D <-(Yes, that would be me with a "Happy" if I was a guy)

i bought an o2 sensor spacer off ebay for cheap for the downstream o2 sensor and it took care of the CEL. just an idea.
