you're not wrong, thats exactly what it is... There's two types of drifting, two WAYS to do it. you can either Inertia drift, or E-brake drift. Now for the Civic. It can E-Brake Drift... It cannot Inertia drift almost at well just because its not RWD. However, when it comes to FWD its capable. Think about whats happening.. You lock your rear wheels... they're going sideways.... or atleast close to their obviously not grabbing onto the road... this is how you get your car to drift. Now what I'm thinking... then you add FWD to that, you got (This is just me speculating) but maybe, just maybe, more control... i mean you can go faster... while steering... while drifiting... I think thats a benefit.

that's my point, you ignitiate a drift my locking your wheels, you don't necessarily have to pop the clutch and use power over to ignitiate the drift. and when it comes to braking drift, instead of power over, both cars can perform about the same.

Simply put, if you want to drift, get a 240sx or the like. Drifting in a Civic does nothing more than make you look dumb, and the rest of the Civic community look like ricers.

At any rate, Drifting is a fad that has come and gone, let it go

this is such a pointless thread, i wish people wouldn't bring up threads like this anymore. they should be locked after a year of no activity.

I would watch talking like that. Mods don't like it when we lowly members bark orders like that. ROFLMAO

it was meant as a suggestion, not barking orders. i just don't see why people search through years of threads, just to comment on them or say "cool man, that's pretty neat!" it just doesn't make since to me. if something like that needs to be brought up, then just make a new thread.

i wasn't really looking at old threads just to comment on them.

i was searching through the forums looking for the answer to why a rwd launches in a drag race faster than fwd cars, as i just posted a thread asking that question because i couldn't find the answer. i just ran into this thread on the way and just replied to it, that's all
