Default is this dude lying to me?

I got my H&R springs today, however the box says "#29863 for civic si's 92-95" and on the springs is has #29863.

Well I called up the guy letting him know they're wrong and he was trying to tell me some bs story how H&R is slowing down because of economy and they're trying to re-use old boxes, but the springs are the correct size.

Well I call up H&R and the rep tells me that's BS, you have the wrong springs. So now I have to deal with this idiot on the phone again to try to get me the right springs without charging me to return the old ones(shipping). This guy reminds me of car salesmen, just the fn biggest liars/thieves you will meet.

just wanted to know if you have had this problem?

the springs that are supposed to fit my vehicle are #51865

on H&R the only springs they list for 92-95 are #51864, 51863-55, and 29863, none match any for 96-00 on their site.

update*

I put the springs on the shocks and struts and the springs fit perfectly on the bottom cup/support of the shocks/struts. I don't know if the tops are too big for the mount because the stock ones are still on my car.

However, the springs I got (92-95 springs) says they drop 1.8 in front and 1.6 in rear instead of 1.75 in front and 1.5 in rear(96-00 springs).

so far they fit very well and offer a slightly bigger drop. Should I have any problems?

i'm actually using the same springs on my Del Sol. I bought them and installed them on my old Civic, and swapped them over when I bought my Del Sol. Mine have been working just fine.

They're pretty much all the same between 92-00 Civics and Del Sols, I think it should be fine.
