if you've got the money to get some really nice I/H/E, you've almost got enough money for a turbo kit. Turbo = best bang for your buck, but its not cheap. You can have two: fast, cheap, reliable
turbo kit is not cheap and easy to do for a first modification

^ agreed, but i was just saying if you have the money to spend on quality (AEM, DC, GReddy, etc) I/H/E, then you can have a really good start on piecing together a turbo kit

for example:

AEM V2 intake: $250
GReddy Evo2 Catback: $480
DC Sports Header: $300
Magnaflow High-Flow Cat: $90

$1120, you could be well on your way, although if you really wanna turbo your car you need RESEARCH ALOT and know what you're doing before you start buying/installing anything.

I/H/E PERIOD.
You could go on and on trust me, depending what type of person you are this hobby is very addicting.
Give yourself a realistic budget, maybe 1500-2500.
Intake, headers, exhaust, lip kit, struts coilover package, rims.
That will give you a sweet yet not overdone looking Civic.
Goodluck.

why more htan one header? lol j/k.....but thats true, if you dont want to spend alot of time and money and effort, that list is for you ^ but depending on how dedicated you are, theres alot you can do to an engine to make it faster (F/I, swap, nitrous, etc), but none of those are "easy" upgrades

i honestly dont understand why people to headers first. i would honestly go with a full out exhaust and then work my way from there, but i see it different as other people as well.

for some easy upgrades, i say probably a k20 swap with a turbo setup, then get a lot of stickers to help out. lol

one good reason would be a cracked stock exhaust manifold...
