Ek3 Exi Low Fuel Efficiancy
Hi Everyone,
i have a EK3 - D15Z4 Engine with Automatic gear box.... but it does only around 7.5km/L in the City. I'm not a rough driver & i do not come across any traffic @ all (the route i take daily).
The car did around 11.7 to 12 when i went out of city...i have not modified it in any way..... is this normal ???

you should be getting 36mpg(if you wanna translate that )lol
get your car a full tune up and check your timing...

any fuel odor smell..... or posibble leaks..
also what kind of tune up did you get....and do you have a cel on?
and do you have alot of junk in your car?

cel= check engine light on
just because it was a honda agent doesnt mean anything... dealers are crooks ive worked for a few i know how the buisness goes...
what all did the tune up involve

oh ok.. no CEL...
well the initial tune-up from the agent... not sure but the car was doing ok....
then i got to know a guy who only does civic tune-ups... so i took it to him...& he did the following....
* Injector cleaning and flow rate checks
* De-carbonization
* Tappet adjustments
* Air-Fuel Ratio optimization
* Sensor checking and adjustments
* Ignition timing checks and adjustment
* Compression testing

a tune up also consits of gettting a new
air filter
fuel filter
spark plugs
spark plug wires
distributor cap
distributor rotor
oil and oil flter
and as a mechanic ive worked at a few shops and they would do stuff to the car so later it would come back so they could make more $$$ (im not like that) the less it comes back the less work i have to do im lazy..
