Epic camshaft failure
Bought this Bisimoto 2.4 camshaft had it in my car 6 months driven less than 4000 miles almost ruined my build completely. Early warning signs of camshaft failure are the following especially if you have replaced the loss motion assemble because bad LMAs tick and click but if you have replaced them these signs are the following excessive ticking and clicking similar to the sound fuel injectors make but louder in the head area, cam seals that leak and i replace another cam seal and it still leaks I got lucky on the third cam seal it didn't leak, but the next sign is wetness at the bottom of turbo manifold mine was a very tiny wetness at the bottom row of bolts last bolt towards passenger side. Like I said very tiny wetness and this didn't appear till the end of last month I drove it. I daily drove this car. Almost about never beat on it just regular driving. Any question you have feel free to ask. This should be moved to product review if deemed as product review by admin.

Heres the damage from the top down as it happens. The way to tell if your Bisi 2.4 camshaft is bad cam seals will leak alittle like I said above that's where it starts. Then work your way into the head to the rocker pads. This is the best picture to show their abnormal wear. The rock pad on the left has a sliver of material on the pad very little but if you look it looks like the color of the rocker assemble its a small sliver of metal on the rocker pad the pad is worn down a good bit can't tell by the picture but in person that small liver of metal on the rock pad sticks up you can see and feel it with your finger. So the material that much of it was worn off of the rocker pad. There are a bunch of pads in the assemble worn down like that and one pad is worn down on the sides and the middle of that pad is higher than the sides

So the valve guide cracked leaking oil into this cylinder where you see the oil on the outside of the turbo manifold. Mind you would think you would see smoke out the back of the exhaust I did not while driving it or at idle or stumping the pedal no smoke it was a small leak. Wish the story ended there but doesn't car ran fan nominal but after Justin of DMS saw this he want to see if metal shavings from the rocker pad and broken pieces of cam lobe made their way down to the bottom end bearings and such. Pull the oil pan and found bearing material in the bottom of oil pan now it needs rebuilt all new bearings and oil pump. In short this equals expensive amounts of money to fix. But was caught before dropping a valve or spinning a bearing in which whole motor would have been toast
