Just recently bought my 01 civic and im getting a new exhaust for it and i need to know which model civic it is

ok go to the back of you car and look to see if it has the lx ex or dx written on the back and with your civic if it is lx or dx it will use the same exhaust but ex is different

click the attachment, and that circle is where your engine code is. Maybe D17a2....figure out waht engine you have and that'll help us figure it out. Also do you have power windows/lock or a sunroof? I think those are excluse to the EX or SI models

very vague answer here, but because i dont see a sunroof its not a ex or SE

 

no sunroof or power locks but power windows ill if thats not enough ill go check the engine #

 

Yeah if someone here has a carfax they can check the vin for you...my subscription ran out last week or Id check for you...do you have AC, pwr, painted door handles, etc...then its proabably an LX...DX are strippers with no options,and EX has vtec and sunroof...LX is in between...

 

engine number is D17A1

 

it's either a DX or an LX then, and both have the same engine, so parts should be unviersal between them basically

 

Because you have the D17A1, you have either a DX or a LX. I would guess DX because LX's usually are 4 doors. It shouldn't matter though, because the difference between a 2rdLX and a 2drDX are the power options.
