i am a new 08 Civic ex owner and have a few ?'s .Tired of paying$300 plus a month to drive to work so i did some homework and found this tobethe best for me.First what do most people avg. for fuel . I know sticker says 25city/36hwy. Second, my oil life was 100% then 1 week later it drastically dropped 10% at once . Not 1 or 2% but 10% , is that normal? Third can i add a sub or tube to factory stereo unit? Fourth can i move the hand brake ? Being over 6ft tall my knee rubs it , not really a biggie but was wondering.Alsowhat is the life of a civic if all maintenance is done ?Any and all answers will greatly be appreciated......

 

everything you said up there is possible cept for the whole e-brake thing. idk if thats gonna work out too well, but i have an 07 lx and when i first got it mine the oil life did the same thing. Dont listen to that ****, just change it every 3k miles with some synthetic oil, mobil 1, royal purple or whatever. honda's will last forever as long as you take care of em

 

ok thanks for the info. dealer told me first oil change do at 2500-3000 , but then after about every 5000 miles. not sure what the oil life meter would read though....

 

Oil life meter guesses how dirty the oil is. It takes a couple of things into consideration including the way you drive. But of course use common sence
