Default First car need some advice

I got my license and ready to go I am new toall this stuff so i need some adviceI just bought a 04 EX with about 23000 miles got 1.7 liter what should i put my money towards on makeing this car go faster

Intake, exhaust, headers will help you out for a start.

No not manual. Also some friends told not to waste my time putting any money in the car cause the engine is to small

^ and it also automatic which sucks. anyways intake, header and exhuast would be good. and than u get some nice set of rims and drop the car and u should be good.

I have the AEM V2 intake system, it's pretty expensive tho. If your pressed for cash you can get away with a cheap ebay intake, it does the same thing.

and you have the 1.7L in your car, i/h/e doesnt do much to those engines. i say trade the car in for an older SI model and go from there. plus... auto sucks. lol

if you don't wanna put too much money, first try the free modifications...
strip out all the weight saving items.. like floor mats, spare tire, tools, etc...

i'm sure someone on the forum has a list of things to remove. you can shed a good 50 - 100 lbs..
then think about i/h/e.

honestly thats a hard thing to do for that car, id jus sell it and look for another ride if u want speed, or maybe snap on something with forced induction
