Default Future Civic owner

I need help! I'm new to the place... I am starting to research today about Honda Civics. I need a reliable daily driver car that my bf or dad can work on. I have lots of questions..
Are there lots of problems with these cars?
If so, what are the most common problems?
How's your insurance/mo on a civic?
How do you like your civic?
What year is your car, what year is the best year?
What's the difference between all the civic models?
And I think that's all the questions I have for now...

I'm probably looking for a 2000 or older.

their will be problems with these cars if u dont maintain em, but for the most part their reliable, insurance on a civic is cheap, ur not getting a motorcycle its a civic lol, i like my civic, its not a 10 second car, but it gets me from point a to point b, if ur looking for speed civics have a lot of potential, i have a 92 civic and imo the best year is the 99-2000 si

If you have already started researching, some of your questions should have already been answered.

Go to edmunds.com and look at ratings and reviews. I love reading consumer reviews on there.

Also, you can learn a lot by just using the search option and typing in keywords.

I have a '95 ex coupe with over 185k miles and I love it.
like the person above me, all you have to do is maintain your car and you won't have any huge problems.

the difference occur in the 95 to 96 model tht the only major change. the best model i would say would be the 95ex/si or the 99-00 si. anyways Civic are basically easy to maintain if u treat ur car good it will treat u good. if u change ur car oil/ coolant regualary than the engine will last a long time.

i have the 96 honda civic DX and i absolutly love this car it has never failed me yet. but the best way i can put it is dont be cheap when ur buying parts for this car. because cheap stuff breaks expecially those form ebay.

yea like everyone else has said already, maintain the car and you wont see any big problems.

as for the best models/years it depends on you. most people on here will tell u 96 si or 99-00 si but some like the new ones and some like the older ones like 95 back to 92. It all depends on you.

for you being a girl, i would say the 99-00 si would be best. the car is fast, reliable, newer which means less things you have to worry about because any older car will have some minor problems.
