FYI - Gas mileage - 06 w/ Automatic
The car is an automatic. On a recent trip which consisted mainly of intersate miles running 70 mph I averaged 45mpg. Commuting to work which is a mix of city and highway I averaged 38mpg. Not to shabby.
2006 Civic, LX sedan, automatic.
Have 3,200 miles on odometer. All "city" driving, which in my case means commuting on two-lane roads, and "in town" driving at speeds usually not exceeding 50 MPH. (Have no significant highway mileage to report on as of this date.)
Early April 'til now, all-time average is 30.8 MPG, from driving as described above.
Best tank to date: 32.8 MPG (411.x miles on 12.x gallons), again driving as above.

Wow, not bad! I'm glad to see real world numbers for highway vs. city driving.
My daughter had--she totalled it Thursday--a 2003 Civic EX with an automatic transmission. I drove it for a month before she took it over, and got 32 in mixed driving and 37+ on highway cruises. Not too shabby. The 2006 is bigger and heavier, I think, so it's good to see the mpg is hanging in there (even if you drive like a madman!).
