I was driving to work today and my ebay short shifter snapped about 3/4 of an inch down from the bottom of the shifter ****. Luckily I was coming to a stop so it didnt cause any accidents. Sucked having to shift the rest of the way with what was left.

oh well it did last 2 years or so but i suppose the moral is, dont skimp out on a shifter, getta name brand.

ebay isnt a crap shoot if you know whats up but generic parts definately arent worth chancing. I knew the part was generic, its like the first mod I did back when I got the car. Never again tho, with the non name brand![8D]

lol yea 2 years is not too shabby. I dunno Flip,I dont really drive my car that hard...I just think it was some really crappy metal alloys goin on.

Do you have a picture of where it broke? I would like to see what the metal did at the break.

 

yea, i love my ebay shifter...which reminds me, i gotta get that thing out of my old car...
