h22a1 in my 99 civic

Default h22a1 in my 99 civic

hey everyone im getting a full h22a1 swap from a friend for cheap and am going to put it into my automatic 99 civic and im wondering will i have any real issues

You will have some issues. If the H22 you are getting is manual, then you will have a big problem. Auto to manual conversions are a PITA.

no the motor is automatic and my car is automatic and they both are obd 2

Also keep in mind that h22 engines don't like boost as much unlike the b series engines. (If your planning on boosting it)

im thinking bout putting new valves stems and retainers new cams and tunning it and run it like that

If your going to do head work, I would get better springs, retainers, stems and maybe valves. When you buy a cam you can get one with a more extreme grind and the springs and valves will be able to take the abuse of the grind.

ya i know all that but im not looking to go boost or anything like that i just im thinking bout doing the head work and finishing that and tuning it and it will run good all motor
