Default Headers

I'm looking at replacing my stock headers on my stock 00si. Anyone have recommendations for headers? Was just looking at DC sport 4-2-1 but am reading the quality of welds isn't that great. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this and if I should spend a little more upfront.

DC is junk IMO. It will not net you any gains. If you just want under hood bling, go for it.

I have this header on my H22 and love it.

Cool link if their stuff really holds up. So PA emissions is ok with this? (just moved to PA from a state who didn't have emissions)

Any trouble installing a 1 piece header?

PA emissions should not be affected as long as you have the o2 sensors installed, and a cat converter.

Fitment is amazing on my set-up. Never seen a B series in person, but I would imagine that B series units would sell more, so if there was an issue, it would have been posted by now I would imagine.

Where in PA did you move to?

Nice! I am south west of the city in Drexel Hill. Hit me up if you ever need any help with the car!

It has been running since November, but just all of the little wiring issues worked out. Still not 100%. Once I get this stupid axle issue dealt with, it'll be 100%

Stifflersmom, Greddy_Civic, and probably a few others are semi-local to this area, too!

Back on topic, how much are you looking to spend on a manifold?

$400 is fine, my max would be $600. In the near future I'm going to do a mild N/A rebuild on this engine. She's become an oiloholic in the past few years (at 150,000 mi now), and I'm going to make it the weekend track car once I get another car.

Nice. I paid $500 for my H22 manifold from that vendor. I believe the B series would either be the same, or slightly cheaper.

Stock h22, restrictive 2.5" intake, restrictive 2.25" exhaust/muffler, and this header (with tuning of course) made 195/165. The shop said they haven't seen a stock H22 (with H transmission) make that much power before and that they usually don't go over 170/150. Made me happy when he told me that.
