Default HELP NEEDED!

Hi everyone,

I own a 2002 Honda Civic Gli Automatic Sedan and have being having an annoying problem. Sometimes during idle, my engine stutters and shakes and the rpm drops really low. The battery light flashes as well but the car recovers and is ok again. Sometimesthe engine shuts off and I have to start it up again. This can happen 2-3 consecutive times in idle mode. I've brought it to the mechanic who has changed my spark plugs and had a look at my throttle body. Does anyone have a similar problem? The annoying thing is that it is hard to replicate and happens on its own. Hope you all can help me as I really don't know whats goin on...

Thanks in advance

Daz

I've brought the car to the mechanic and he had it plugged into the computer. Apparently there are no electronic errors being detected. Dropped it off at the mechanic again.. now just waiting for the diagnosis

Mechanic finally fixed it. Yeah!!! Apparently my Rotary valve failed which causes the car to think it is overheating sometimes. That part shuts down the car to protect it.

Thanks for all your help people.

Cheers!
