so i tried this on a different thread and got no replies...just wanted to try here, i would appreciate you help, i hate to sound like a nag, im far from it!! so, I have a vtec D17A2 in mine, can you guys help me out, i just wanna know about it, is it pretty good? what kind of turbo can be put in there, what can i do with it? just info you know what i mean? thanks a lot!

 

I guess I have to be the bearer of bad news. You can has a returnless fuel system. In order to turbo your car you need to change the fuel system to one that will return. The D17 is also the weakest of the D series motors......it CAN be boosted, but a precise tune is even more imperitive, due to the weak bottom end.......which means it cant handle too much boost on stock internals. You can upgrade internals and made much more power, but due to the fact that the aftermarket for the D17 sucks, youll be payin more for parts that cost less for a different D series motor. As far as the tuner sport is concerned.......the D17 isnt a good choice motor.......its last on the list. It has potential, but it just costs much more thats all.
