It doesn't have 2008 civic listed but it should be the same as the 2007 for headlight bulbs.

They will lose high beam function if your headlights are the same bulb for low and high beams. Like on my civic, the stock headlights use a dual filament bulb that allows the bulb to get brighter. Does your car have separate high beam and low beam bulbs? If it does have seperate ones, then you will be fine. If you have one bulb that is the low and high beam bulb, you will need to buy bixenon HID headlights to keep the high beam function. Or you can get the normal ones and lose your highbeam - some people do it, but IMO it's stupid. What if you need the high beams one night? You'd be screwed.
