If not an A gti what then? I’ve seen the original service manual from purchase date, it has it listed as a Civic 3d GTI, and I just want to know what it is.
Rather then claiming it to be something what is isn’t.

To answer an early question I live in New Zealand. The engine number is 2105059 if that helps (dunno if it will didn’t help me)
Show us a scan of the frontispiece of the manual, or an advertising brochure, then we'll talk. But as Eclipse 2K said that "GTI" logo looks tacked-on. Honda is always very good with the quality of their badges.

If the "gti" is handwritten then it could easily be an error - copied from the badging of the car obviously. It happens..my Civic is a silver Honda Civic SiR, yet all the documentation says it's a Black, yes BLACK Honda Civic, and no mention of the SiR part. I hopethat doesn't lead to problems later on. At least the Vin is correct..

If it's TRULY a DOHC engine in the car you're describing, then that is a bit different because 1993 Si's were all Single Cam engines, as far as I know. Or it's not an Si. Anyway look up the models on Google with that as a working assumption.

since you got it at a dealership, it could be that the dealership dude just wrote down what was on the car, and was oblivious to what it really was.
thats actually kinda funny.

but yeah, get an under the hood shot and then we can tell ya.
