If you don't know what you're doing or know nothing about nitrous, then it would be very very hard on your engine. Go to borders or some books store, go to the automotive section, and read up on how nitrous works.

Nitrous is hard on any engine, but if you install it incorrectly, it will just blow up your engine

Actually, you could pass with a 55 shot. It wouldn't hurt your engine, you just gotta be safe and follow everything right. 93 octane only(when spraying) 1 step colder spark plugs, don't spray under 2,500RPM, that stuff.. I suggest you head over to the Nitrous thread and read up.

These 2 quotes are paradoxical. If you knew enough about nitrous you would know that a 50 shot is called a 50 shot because it'll give you 50 more HP. That is obviously enough to make a difference.

Do some more research before you go spraying explosive molecules into your intake.

I recommend a ZEX kit because they have a special computer that controls it, and because of this it's a safer kit for your engine. For more details on how the computer system works, ask MobstaMan, he has a ZEX kit and should be able to tell you exactly what it does.

Your engine should be able to withstand a 50 shot, assuming your engine is in good health (good compression readings, etc.).

I would say avoid nitrous period. Just get a turbo instead.

dry or wet? With a dry shot you're asking for a fire if you ask me.

Well,

Nitrous is explosive. If your engine is too worn out. If its got internals that are going out or parts that need replacing that will be directly effected by the shot of NOS then it will be extremely bad for your engine.

Think of your engine like a heart and NOS like a shot of concentrated ADRENALINE. If your heart is weak it will destroy it. If its strong it'll boost it nicely.

I personally would not recommend any sort of force induction on any car if there are known engine problems or drive train problems.

Also remember, that any sort of force induction product will shorten the life span of your engine/drive train, specially if the car has not been properly modified to handle such induction
