hey, i got a 96 civic dx 2 door with a blown motor. i just want to sell it and get it off my driveway. its got some dents and a body kit on it :/ also the cd player was just stolen from it 
no damage was done in the prosess of the theft. its paint is nice and matching (grey/silver) and such. catback sys, cold air intake. im just wondering how much i can get for it. im in sothern cali. thanks!

How come you don't sell it to those Honda salvage yards..They might give you good money..Or part it out..I know you will make goodcash like that...I know this place in Riverside where they sell and buy Honda's..They are wreck yards..They fix them and sell them..They also sell all kind of parts...U might be able to get an engine from them for about 350.00

dito if your smart you would pay to have a motor droped in it... otherwise 1K bucks tops for me...

My philosophy is: if it runs (no matter what condition the rest of it is in), it's worth $1000. If not, price drops from there... consideration for the overall condition of the car factored in. Bonus points for the coolness of the car (i.e. a Porsche 911 with a blown engine is worth more than $1000 - a Honda... not so much... not even close, in fact).
Which is why I gave $800 for my '95 VX with a blown head gasket. It didn't run, but was in pretty decent shape otherwise. The salvage yard would've given him $300 - tops... minus towing, of course.
My recommendation is with the other guys - either fix and sell it for a decent price, or part it out (you'll get more money in the long run - it takes money to make money). I'm sure there's plenty of people who need cheap parts.
