Default How is your Honda's gas mileage?

I bought my 01 LX for the mileage only. Most of my driving is
interstate so I figured it be pretty good. But I was shocked to get
42.36mpg on my first tank and 40.29mpg on my last.
That's damn near hybrid type mileage.
How does the SI Do when your not standing on it??

My old '94 EX averaged 28 in the city and 34 on the highway. Of course, that was with a slushbox, so a 5spd would have seen better numbers.

And for comparison, my mustang gets 17 in the city and my record is 32 on the highway

My bike averaged mid-40's with a low of 34 (riding like a douche) and a record of 65 (using 6th gear while cruising)

I got an even 40MPG twice last September and I got 37MPG a couple of weeks ago. I drive about 60/40 highway/city. 1998 Civic DX with 170,780 miles on it with AEM SRI/Flowmaster muffler.

My V6 civic gets about 33 to 35 mpg, thats untill a jump on the gas, then its out the window.

My 08 Lx gets about 35 to 40.
