If im scared of my car hydrolocking because of my new cai , because it rains alot here. Im going to buy a k&n "drycharger" its supposed to keep water out without messing with air flow.

it takes alot of water to hydrolock, you've got to suck up your 3' diameter. avoid puddles. common sense.

ya with my old CAI i was never scared of driving it thru typical puddls..... but once i droped the car pretty low THEN I GOT SCARED and just cut my CAI into a SRI.

if in doubt just cut it to be a SRI
you can always clamp the 2 piecesback toether to be a CAI again.

get rid of the CAI and buy a SRI, same performance, looks better imo and you don't risk any damage from water.

You really need to go in a deep puddle to hydroloc your car. My car is lowered and ive had my cai on there for over a year and no hydroloc at all. Just go slow on puddles (put your hazards on) and make sure your not going over a lake. cai has better higher rpm power than sri

Um, yea or finally he went through a puddle deep enoughto hydrolock and just didn't want to tell you cause he would look like an idiot
Basically, Shroomy you have nothing to worry about witha CAI as long as you're not getting that filter submerged in water.
