i got 3k and a civic, what to do
Ok, right now i got about 3k in my pocket, with a 1993 civic with a dead d15 engine in it.
I figured i would knock out 2k and put in a 1.6L b16 in it but i dont know what exactly i should do with the other 1000. I would like to put a new intake on it and get a new exhaust, i already got some montegi racing rims. I also want to get it painted and get a new front and back bumper.
Any suggestions?

go to the junkyard to save sum money on an engine, then go to ur local motorsports and get an intake, headers, exhaust, and springs. dis should keep you koo for a while. And when you have enough, boost it!
+1 for suspension, at the very least some strut bars, lowering springs and maybe some sway bars, and from there save for F/I, thats really the onyl way you'll get some real gains out of that thing. I/H/E, yea they're fun, but dont expect more than 15 hp (if youre lucky)

that other 1000 will be helpful for once you've got your engine, as there are some additional parts associated with swapping a B series into a D series platform.
