There is a little red light right behind my steering wheel, and I was wondering what it goes to. The light never lights up, or blinks or anything, so I have no clue what it goes to. Also that whole piece behing the steering wheel isn't attached, it just loosely sits there. Anyone know what this all is?

that light in my civic is the alarm light that blinks when the alarm is on.

 

you might want to get some screws and reattach that top piece of trim, though.. it screws into the piece below the steering wheel.

 

Thats what I thought it was, but it doesn't blink at all when I arm the alarm. I have just the factory alarm.

 

its prolly for the alarm, maybe the little LED (or bulb) is burned out

 

Maybe, I guess my real question should be, is that a stock light, as in do all civics of that year or model have them on there, or is it something the previous owner put in.

 

I'd assume from the responses that it's a factory thing

 

ya the bulb is out, replace that

 

how do you do that?

 

get a new one cut the old one out and solder the new one in i assume
