well i found this 1999 si on craigs list and we might drive down there and check it out im not pro so i would to know wut u guys think about it, im 16 and it will be my first car, i told my parents the milage isnt that bad for bein a civic but ill have to talk to the guy about cuz i dont know how he drove it but let me know what you guys and girls think thank you.

the price is good but the engein bay looks like s**t just make sure everything works and that it wasnt involed into any major accedents or any for that matter lol

 

Judging from the pictures it looks like the car remained stock. the owner never did any modification and the engine looks like It wasn’t abused but look can be deceiving so I would get a mechanic to check it out, make u test drive the hell out of it, make sure there no rust or stuff like that also see if u can get an compression test run on this car. And just use Ur best judgment and see if u can bargain the price down.

Holy crap that is a lot of miles my 96 only has 142k. 175k for a 99 would be a bit much but, if they are mostly highway then maybe. I personally wouldnt buy a car with that many milesbut hey its you....

don't be afraid of a seasoned odometer. if your seriously interested pull a carfax report on the vin. its only like 20 bucks, but it will give you the history of the car. and i would do a very thorough inspection/ test drive. make sure the clutch isn't gone by driving at about 10mph and putting it in 5th gear and then flooring it for a couple seconds. if the rpm doesn't go way up like its in neutral then the clutch is still grabbing good. test out everything like the lights and cig lighter fog lights etc. check to see if there are any visible leaks from the top of the engine. see if the exhaust is blue (that means its burning oil)
