I need proof that swaping and older engine is illegal?
OK! I read prue bull Sh*t on the net, Yet i have no written proof that dropping an older engine in a newer car is illegal. I heard that using an older OBD is illegal [CENSORED BY reaper2022] to smog regulations in CanaDuh! However i read that Hondata solves this problem, using a new OBD to adapt a older engine which should make it legal. However you Guys can correct me if i am wrong.....
Thanks
Any body who gets their news from CNN "Corrupted News Network" is a complete idiot. In a court of law we are asked to provide proof such as video, written documents etc. Why don't the media provide proof before accusing innocent people. Well it's called Slanders or Gossips.
[Any form of racial/religious/gender/etc slur is frowned upon. Keep them to a minimum, please - reaper2022]

I don't know about Canada. It is specifically illegal in California. Other places you can get away with it, but still technically illegal under US federal law.
The general rule by US and probably Canadian federal law is that over its lifetime, a car must continue to meet the pollution limits that were in effect for its model year. These requirements have always gotten stricter every year. Putting a complete old model engine system into a newer car is going to give it the higher pollution of the old car that the engine came out of. This would not be legal because everything is based on the model year of the car, not the engine.
