Alright, so a kid in our town just got a 03 honda s2000. just good ol 2.0L. Its fully stock. and it has some miles on it, around 70K miles. He's wanting to run me when I get my JDM h22a in my 94 eg. (Which is 2morrow) YAY! haha

So yeah I'll have a H/I/E, stage 1 exedy clutch with fidanza flywheel. Thats all for now.

So do you think i'll have a chance w/this s2000?

By the way its a 4door stripped, and weighs bout 1900lbs with the d-series motor in it and meSo lets just say putting the h22a in it will make it around 2100-2200lbs w/me in it.

Soyeah just some opinions i guess on to see who might win. Before I go race him. That will be after i break my clutch and everything in.

 

From a dig you should be nose to nose untill around 90mph then the areodynamics of the S2000 will let him start pulling slightly.

 

s2000 is a superior car, they're in different classes. even though it's stock, with one or two bolt ons, you're toast.

 

S2000's are like low to mid 14 second cars and their clutch is absolute **** in stock form. I say he has a good chance if he has the driver mod

 

come on. the clutch isn't that bad, but it could be better. the eg would probably win, but with a couple bolt-ons, its the s2000's race. plus, h22's gearing isn't the best either. basically, it's a drivers race and depends on the condition of the motors. btw, i hate these types of threads, lol, just find out yourself if you really want to know, that's the only way.

 

S2000s aren't drag cars, so I think you have agood shot. S2Ks are built with grip in mind, not straight line performance. The idea behind an H22 in a civic is just the opposite though, with straight line performance being the emphasis. Anyhow, just run him. If you lose, you got beat by a $30,000 car...so no biggy

 

Yeah, even if he wins by a car, you still hung with an s2k

 

dude you can get him, you never know what could happen during the race. i think heads up on two perfect runs he should beat you (not by much) but you never know he might miss a gear or something!!!

 

Depends on your driving ability. If you drive well, I say you will be dead even, maybe even ahead a little bit. Just race and see how it goes.

 

ugg i hate missin gears lol.... just race him it will be fun.....and if he starts pullin away just tap his back end send him spinnin....then u win ps just befor u tap him yell out were racin for pinks
