Default Just a question to ask

Around three months ago I decided to do something stupid/daring. I was going 60 down hill and jerked up my emergency brake and slid about maybe 25 or 35 feet but I slid sideways and ended up in the ditch turned around facing the other way. So I went back to look at my skidmarks and my front tires were sliding too but I thought the emergenct brake only locked the drum brakes. So what made the front brakes slide too?

The front tires would naturally produce skid marks when the car is sliding sideways and moving backwards.

X2 SERIOUSLY?????????
you remind me of this guy i seen on SPEEDERS.... his car was all banged up all around it and he said it was so banged up because his friend said his car wouldnt roll so the driver tried to prove him wrong and yanked the Ebrake and spun the wheel and did roll the car.... just something thats so stupid its hard to believe you would every try something that stupid!

only time i have ever pulled the ebrake is on snow/ice on a empty parking lot and maybe on a turn when there is no cars or trees around to hit....

i pulled the ebrake on a dirt road around a turn. I wasn't going fast and I failed at the drift lol because the front end stopped almost immediately. I won't ever use ebrake again at any stunt attempt

The parking brake will only lock your rear tires.
Your problem is < other than going 60 > is you pulled them going downhill. The natural grade of the road pulled you either left or right. And being as you did this downhill, your car slid even faster in that direction. Makes it easy to lose control.
As for your front tires locking up, did you freak out and press the break? Did you do a 180? Did you drink a few beers before this?

Hope your car is OK, and you learned a lesson.

Well, your story sounds fun. If you don't understand why your tires left skid marks when you were going sideways, you shouldn't be on a computer (lol jk).

Your story can be interpreted many ways, it isn't very clear what actually happened.
