I didn't know which section to put this in. This is a strange thread but...
what do your keys look like?

I'm hoping for modification of mine My remote is coming sometime this week.

Does anybody have any switchblades? Post your own!

IMO NEVER TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR KEYS! take that picture down ASAP!!!!!!!
i can get a blank honda key and a file right now and make a copy of your key. then i can just go find your car and take it!

thats a standard stock key i believe. new honda keys from honda have a thick @ss key ring and head!

Thanks for the warning!
I was hoping of a newer key but they are completely different. Unless someone has a head with the old blade.

The key looks correct to me. They are $1.50 at the dealer, and they can cut you one with your VIN# or they can 'trace yours.

Do you mean new as in like 2008 keys, or new as in a replacement key?

My key was crap and was too crappy to get copied, so I had to go to the dealer with my VIN and registration. They gave me the key pictured in the OP's post.
Best deal I ever got from the dealer! Cost me like $2. When I had my old civic, I bought the same key, blank, on eBay for $5, not aware that the dealer had them so cheap, and took it to Ace and they copied it for free. But as I mentioned, this time I was forced to go to the dealer with the VIN. Never again will I get a cheapo copy made, since the dealer can make a fresh Honda one from scratch for $2.

well i couldnt even have the dealership cut a new key for my 96dx the vin would not work! luckely my key was in good shape so he just copied it... tho my 99 and 94 they didnt have any problem just running the vin to cut a new key, its really odd how theres such a problem with this 96dx canadian civic... tho it was made in the usa/ for canada... odd.
i just have to make sure to always have a extra copy or two!

really honda dealers can make an original key for only $2, is this for 1 or 2 keys? surprising how dealers would charge so much on other stuff but so cheap to copy keys. lol

The immobilizer key for my Prelude is $23 (T5 blank which is much larger then a Civic key).
