So I don't post here much. I don't actually own a civic, but I know they're solid, reliable, upgradeable cars and I'm going to get one when I have the cash. Now, like all of you I assume, I don't want it to be simply stock. No matter what year I end up getting, or what model.

So I'm looking for some things here, maybe you can help me out:

1. a guide to the different models and years of Civics (dx, ex, what a 'v-tec' is, headers, cat back, 1999, 2003, whatever... stuff like that. I don't know the terminology well)

2. Some cheap or semi-cheap upgrades. I know putting a new filter or air intake in isn't that bad.

3. A list of maybe some good sound systems to put in Civics, or cool gadgets that were either made for or work well with Civics.

4. Any other info you think I could use. I'll bookmark all links you give me and use their advice and hopefully become one of you Civic people.
